Gaylord Opryland Hotel Christmas 2011

A new Christmas tradition that my family and I have started is going to the Opryland Hotel to view all the wonderful Christmas decor that is set up and get us into the Christmas spirit. This is the second year we have visited the Hotel at Christmas and boy we were not disappointed. The 2011 display was a million times better than last years. The reason why is because Christmas 2010 was the first time that the Hotel had been open since the massive flooding that hit middle Tennessee which resulted in the Hotel being under over 10 feet of water.

Here is a video about the flood if you are interested

My family and I had a wonderful time and I would love to show you some of the better pictures that I captured.

Here is a pic of some beautiful poinsettias. I love this picture because it has a mixture of different colors of poinsettias.

Here is yet another pic of some poinsettias. I would have to say this is my favorite color of all the different varieties of poinsettias.

This is a pic of one of the many different waterfalls at the Hotel. This one is right beside a walking path so it makes for a great spot to stop and take pictures of love ones and friends.

I love this pic because it appears that the fish are about to eat the coins. Anywhere you go in the hotel and look into the water you will see the bottom coated in coins. There is no telling how much money is actually just laying there on the bottom. Needless to say I threw in a few coins myself and wished a couple of wishes.

And the last picture is of the view at the top of some stairs. I just wanted to show you the overall view of the Delta part of the Hotel.

Going to the Opryland Hotel at Christmas time will continue to a family tradition of ours and I would strongly recommend visiting the hotel even if it is not at Christmas time. I promise you will not be disappointed but just remember to bring some good walking shoes.
